Not only is this event a homebrew festival, but it is also a ProAm BJCP competition for 8 summer style beers. The winner will get their recipe brewed and placed on tap at Core Brewing!

About the event
The newest homebrew competiont to hit NWA will be Heatwave, sponsered by Core Brewing! The competition will be both BJCP and Festival! The BJCP portion will be a ProAM where the best of show will have their beer brewed with Core. 1st-3rd will receive prizes and medals as well. The winners will be announced at the festival on August 20th. The festival also has its own people's choice for brewers bringing beer to serve at the festival. It is highly encouraged to serve your BJCP beers, but it isn't a requirement for the event.
The 8 styles accepted at this event are:
1. Cream Ale 1C
2. American Wheat 1D
3. Kolsch 5B
4. Weissbier 10A
5. Blonde Ale 18A
6. American Pale Ale 18B
7. American IPA 21A
8. Hazy IPA 21C
Important dates are as follows:
Entries are due by August 5th
BJCP judging will take place August 13th
The festival portion will take place August 20th
